Community Fridges bring people together to share food, connect with others, learn new skills, and help prevent perfectly good food from going to waste.
Run by local organisations and community groups, Community Fridges are located in shared spaces such as schools, community centres, and local shops. They redistribute surplus food from supermarkets, local businesses, producers, households, and community gardens, making it freely available to anyone in the community.
There is no means testing or referral required. Anyone can visit during opening hours, see what food is available, and take home what they can use.
