Have you received an email titled Your UKVI account and eVisa from gov.uk?
There is no reason to be alarmed. Here is what you need to know.
Pre-Settled and Settled Status holders
You don’t need to do anything. You already have a UKVI account that was automatically created for you when you applied for your status.
Holders of physical documents such as Biometric Residence Permit, Biometric Resident Card, Indefinite Leave to Remain
Your physical document is being replaced by digital eVisa. An eVisa is an online record of your immigration status and the conditions of your permission to enter or stay in the UK. You need to create a UKVI account to be able to access your eVisa. Guidance and information are available here.
British Citizens
Ignore this email if you are a British citizen; you do not need a UKVI account.
